The foam core
At the centre of every Feld sofa is a high-resilience foam core, chosen for long-term comfort, structure and durability.
We use premium HR foam with a density of 35 kg/m³ and a hardness of 60 - a specification selected to support the way a modular sofa is actually used: sitting, resting, lounging and sleeping, day after day. The foam is designed to respond to pressure, return to shape and maintain its structure over time, helping the sofa stay comfortable and composed rather than collapsing or deforming.
Its open-cell structure allows air to circulate through the material, while a softer top layer gives the surface a more relaxed and inviting feel. The result is a sofa that feels generous and comfortable from the beginning, but is built to last well beyond the first impression.
