Receiving your Feld sofa

Feld is designed to be easy to receive, move and assemble at home.

Instead of arriving as one large piece of furniture, your sofa is delivered in compact parcels. The foam modules are vacuum-packed to reduce volume during transport, while the textile covers and metal frames are packed separately.

Once unpacked, the modules expand and take shape. From there, you dress the foam with the fabric covers, place the metal frames at the sides and back, and your sofa is ready to use.

Unpack the modules

Start by opening the parcels and carefully releasing the foam modules from their vacuum packaging. Once unpacked, the foam will begin to expand and take shape.

Give each module a little time to take its full shape before adding the covers. The material is designed to recover after compression, and the sofa will continue to settle naturally with use.

Add the textile covers

Each fabric cover is packed separately and fitted by hand.

The covers are made with a close fit. This is intentional. Over time, the textile will give slightly with use, and the tight fit helps the sofa keep its shape and expression.

When fitting the covers, take your time and adjust the fabric around the foam. Follow the edges of the module and align the piping or outer stitching with the shape of the foam. This helps the cover sit cleanly and gives the sofa its final, defined form.

If it feels tight at first, that is normal. Work gradually from side to side and adjust the fabric as you go.

Place the metal frames

Once the modules are covered, place the metal frames along the sides and back of the sofa configuration.

The frames are designed to be simple to position and easy to move when you want to change the layout. They help define the sofa while keeping the system flexible.

Ready to use

When the covers are fitted and the frames are in place, your Feld sofa is ready.

Sit, rest, move the modules, and let the sofa settle into your home. The foam and textiles will soften slightly with use, while the covers continue to shape themselves around the modules.
